Let me catch you up on Kayla & Chris…they have been together since high school. Isn’t that the cutest?? They live in a gorgeous house (props to Kayla’s design skills and I’m sure Chris’s muscles) and have been together for over eight years. The quote of the wedding was, “Well, it’s been forever, it’s about time.” In the best of ways, of course.
The girls started out getting ready at Chris & Kayla’s house. They relaxed around the house with mimosas, colorful robes, and a bit of makeup.
The boys were reppin’ the U.S. of A. all day. I actually didn’t find this out until I saw the pictures weeks after the wedding! They got ready at Chris’s brother’s house and showed up looking sharp in navy blue suits.
Kayla’s first dress was a lace dream. Both of her dresses were from David’s Bridal and looked stunning (more pictures below).
One of the must-dos of the wedding day was having Chris’s mother pin on his boutonniere. It was a special moment for the two of them before sending him down the aisle.
Though the trend right now is straying from wedding traditions, never forget the tradition and blessing of family. I love seeing the difference between wedding ring styles… from Kayla’s to her mother’s to her grandmother’s.
Whoever tells you that you can’t have two wedding dresses, they are lying. It’s your day and if you want to be stunning in two different outfits, go for it! The one’s Kayla picked out were both jaw dropping and so perfect for her ceremony and reception, respectively.
I love being a witness to first looks. Kayla had a sweet one with her father before the big reveal to her future husband. Chris looked at his bride in disbelief before a kiss and hug.
Wine Country Gardens has become my home away from home. I love doing weddings out on their property. If you are still looking for a venue, this place has it all. Great food, great people, outdoor and indoor space, and wine. Chris & Kayla picked a perfect place!
After pictures around the winery, we lined the bridal party and family up for the ceremony. It was an intimate celebration where Kayla’s uncles officiated.
Their ceremony was full of fun and surprises…including selfies!
Kayla designed all of the centerpieces for a rustic and stylish feel. Eucalyptus leaves, baby’s breath, and candlelight provided a warm and inviting table for all of the guests.
I loved being able to setup for this wedding! All of the decor and gold accents went perfectly together and created a uniform look through the whole reception space. Their cake table was especially gorgeous with the wood and gold cupcake stands.
Kayla and Chris started off with the cake cutting and first dance. Kayla sang to her new groom as he smiled like one does on the best day of their life.
After the first dance, Kayla slipped into her second outfit. It was perfect for dancing the night away and letting loose!
After the party wore down, Chris & Kayla thanked their guests and sent them home with some of Grandma’s Cookies.
Congratulations Chris & Kayla Haley! You both are incredible and I hope your marriage and life together is just as amazing!
